I really appreciated the session on trauma and behavior on the fourth day. It's given me so much to think about, especially reflecting on my past pets who are no longer with me. Knowing what I do now, it could have been so beneficial for both of us. For instance, Isis was always on high alert and easily frightened. And Willy seemed to struggle with what I now recognize might have been anxiety. I'm truly thankful for the insights from this hackathon, as they've equipped me to be an even more understanding and caring parent to my future furry companions.

Day 4 was a really good reminder that my dog comes from unidentified trauma, and that I need to keep my wits about me. From seeing a raised hand or crows and ravens. Fortunately the raised hand anxiety is gone. We've progressed a lot in four years. Thank you Sparky!

Today was a good day. Our short walk around the street had six encounters or dogs and scary noises. I was able to manage Copper's lunging and reactivity. 0 lunges, 0 barks. Only briefly did he show interest in a couple of dogs and a kid on a squeaky bicycle. Probably because of the squeaky bicycle. Lots of sits, paw, other, touch followed by YES!! and extremely high valued treats.
